Social Media Intern

We are presently seeking a social media intern to join our ten-member team during the upcoming winter season. This internship program is designed to provide college credit to the selected intern and will span ten weeks. The internship is remote and requires a minimum of 15-20 hours of work per week, depending on the workload for that particular week.
The ideal candidate for this internship should have prior experience in managing Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook feeds. Additionally, they should be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in communications or marketing. This social media internship is an exceptional opportunity for students to gain practical experience with a social media presence of over 30,000 followers. Furthermore, the intern will work alongside a team of professionals to manage our company’s social media accounts.

Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive social media strategy for the company's Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok accounts. This strategy should include objectives, target audience, content themes, and a detailed content calendar. Once the strategy is in place, execute it by creating and publishing high-quality, engaging content that resonates with the target audience.
- Continuously monitor social media analytics for the team's social media accounts, including metrics such as engagement rate, follower growth, and click-through rate. Use this data to optimize the social media strategy and make data-driven decisions.
- Identify opportunities to expand the company's presence on Instagram and Snapchat, while ensuring that the content aligns with the brand's voice and values. Develop a plan to create and publish content on these platforms that is tailored to the unique audiences and features of each platform.
- Regularly analyze the success of the social media strategy and adjust it as needed to ensure that it is meeting the company's goals and objectives. Keep up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices, and incorporate them into the social media strategy where appropriate.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in communications or marketing
- Basic understanding of social media analytic measurements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle a flexible work schedule based on the workload

QualificationsYour Experience
To be considered for this position, you should be enrolled in a related field or possess equivalent experience.
- Additionally, you must be available to work a full 40-hour workweek during the summer of 2023.
- Strong attention-to-detail, communication, and organizational skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to work collaboratively and inclusively.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to build relationships are also important.
- You should be fluent in MS Office programs, and be willing to be hands-on and dedicated to completing tasks.
